Prairie Area Education Agency improves teaching and learning by developing
leaders, discovering solutions and delivering services through collaboration
with students, families, schools, and communities.

Great Prairie AEA
provides leadership and service to more than 30,000 students, 3,700 teachers and
administrators and 36 school districts in southeast Iowa. Great Prairie AEA's
programs and services are agency-wide focusing on improving student

Great Prairie AEA has two major service centers:
Burlington and Ottumwa, as well as satellite offices in Centerville, Chariton,
Fairfield, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Mt. Pleasant, and Oskaloosa.

located in beautiful southeast Iowa. This area is known for its plush green
