The Omak School District enrolls 1600 students taught by a highly effective faculty. Omak has two elementary schools; North Elementary is a Pre-2 primary building, and East Elementary is a 3-6 intermediate school. The Middle School 7-8, Alternative High School 9-12 and High School 9-12 are all located on one campus in the heart of Omak. The administrative center with curriculum, special education and support facilities is located near the Middle/High School complex.

The district employs 108 certificated staff members, consisting of classroom teachers, counselors, specialists, and 8 administrators. These professionals are augmented by a full range of support personnel including food services, secretarial, transportation, and maintenance services. Each school has a special education resource specialist, psychologist and counseling services available to all students.

Program Information:

The Omak School District is a Professional Learning Community (PLC) school district. Each building and department has its own PLC and works to ensure that all students are able to meet state and local standards. Through the use of Title 1, Title 2A and Rural Low Income grants, staff are able to take advantage of professional training as identified and supported by the building PLC.

The Omak School District provides trained mentor teachers to each newly hired certificated staff member. The induction and mentoring program is one of the leading programs in the state with a three day orientation program supported by local businesses. It is the belief of the Omak School District that all of our teachers will become successful professionals who desire to be life-long learners and who will pass this trait on to their students.

The community of Omak is very supportive of its schools with high levy success rates and a proven reputation as an innovative community. As a result of this support, the students receive an excellent education with a low dropout rate and a graduation rate of 92%.
